i54 Corporate Services Limited - Our client, CNOOC Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (the CEPNL) was incorporated in Abuja, Nigeria on 20 January 2006 and is wholly owned by CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) International Limited, which is mainly responsible for the operation and management of CNOOC’s oil and gas assets in Nigeria

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager, Investment

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Job Functions

• The position has executive responsibility for overseeing the development and implementation of the Company’s investment strategy, ensuring the prudent management of its investment arrangements, evaluating and reporting on investment performance.

Functions of this role include:

• Manage the implementation of investment strategy across the portfolio while researching new investment ideas and strategies;
• Lead the annual review of asset class and investment manager performance and preparation of reports and presentations to the Investment Committee;
• Oversee Company’s investment purchases or trades
• Monitor and manage external relationships, including their investment consultant, investment managers, and custodian.
• Partner with the Company’s investment consultant across a broad range of listed and unlisted investments and asset classes
• Identify and implement enhancements to the Company’s product offering, strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction and investment governance; and
• Engage in team meetings, research and reading to stay up to date on global economic trends
• Liaise with investment analysts to assess financial information and investment opportunities
• Present investment advice and opportunities, along with related analysis to clients
• Develop strong partner relationships; expanding the client network in professional and social settings.
• Oversee other investment opportunities fin Nigeria.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Masters of Finance, Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field and an ICAN certified;
• Minimum of 12 years of investment experience with a super fund, asset consultant or funds management business; focus on International Oil & Gas JV is preferred
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience with presenting to the Investment Committee;
• Deep knowledge of all asset classes and a detailed understanding of asset liability modelling and strategic asset allocation;
• Prudent risk management and investment governance experience;
• Strong commercial acumen, reviewing and negotiating fund manager fees to ensure the best commercial outcomes for the Company 
• Track record of successfully working with multiple stakeholders to achieve strong investment outcomes.
