Admission/Post-UTME Screening into Northwest University, Kano

Northwest University, Kano is a newly registered and approved degree-awarding institution established by the Government of Kano State. The University, located at the heart of the ancient city of Kano, will commence academic activities in 2012. All interested/eligible candidates can apply for admission into any of the following programmes listed below.

Admission Requirements

• Prospetive candidates must have sat for the 2012 UTME Examinations, must have applied for a course in any of the Nigerian Universities and must have scored an aggregate of 180 or higher in subjects relevant to the programme applied for For applicants seeking for admission into BSc (Biochemistry) a minimum aggregate of 200 is required
• Prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five 5 passes at Credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council (NECO)in..not more than two (2) sittings, including a pass at credit level in both English and Mathematics arid other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study

Screening Exercise and Post-UTME Test
The screening exercise and Post UTME examinations will be conducted between 22nd and 24th October, 2012. The Venue and Time of the test will be on candidates’ Examination Cards.

How To Apply
Prospective students seeking to gain admission into any of the programmes being offered by the Northwest University, Kano must register and sit for the Post-UTME test. The registration process is as follows:

• Goto Northwest University website, click POST-UTME REGISTRATION
• Login using your UTME Number, UTME Aggregate (total score), and UTME Subject Combination.
• Select the Programme you wish to apply for and fill-in the Applicant’s Particulars Form.
• Print your personalized Payment Invoice and use the invoice to make the payment of N5,500 (Five Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only) at any branch of Zenith Bank nationwide.
• After making the payment, return to Northwest University website, login again. Your payment will be validated after which you can print your personalized Examination Card.

Note: No Applicant will be allowed to sit for the Post-UTME test without a valid Examination Card
