Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Summary

• A Production Supervisor, who isresponsible for managing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• You will oversee the production team, manage workflow, ensure safety standards, and work to maintain product quality in line with FMCG industry requirements.
• Your experience in manufacturing and familiarity with fast-moving consumer goods will be crucial in driving productivity and ensuring on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily production activities, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.
• Oversee a team of production workers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring they follow safety and quality standards.
• Ensure production processes align with company goals for efficiency, output, and quality.
• Monitor and optimize the use of resources (materials, labor, and equipment) to maximize production efficiency.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in good working condition and address any issues promptly.
• Track and report production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste, and suggest improvements to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing facility.
• Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in production processes.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching to production staff to improve skill levels and job performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing efficiency and reducing production costs.
• Maintain effective communication with other departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a production supervisor or in a similar role within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and workflow optimization.
• Experience working with fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) products and meeting high-volume production demands.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced production setting.
• Proficiency with production management software and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze production data and make informed decisions to improve efficiency.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
