Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

  • With sustained market leadership in Cement Manufacturing, Petroleum refining, Fertilizers, Sugar Milling, Sugar Refining, Packaging Material Production, and Salt Refining, we are dedicated to advancing our vision through significant investments and ongoing projects.
  • Currently, we are moving forward with a $0.5 billion investment in a new cement plant in Itori, Nigeria, in addition to enhancing capacities across our existing locations.
  • As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations and machinery, contributing to our expansion and upgrade initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project requirements to determine mechanical specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to develop project timelines and execution plans.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices throughout all engineering processes.
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress and engineering outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials science, and engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety practices in the construction industry.
