Job Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to oversee the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment.
• The ideal candidate will ensure that all mechanical systems, electrical installations, and equipment are maintained to the highest operational standards.
• You will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, performing necessary repairs, and coordinating with external contractors when required to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of buildings, facilities, and equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for key equipment and systems to avoid breakdowns and ensure smooth operations.
• Repair Work: Diagnose and fix faults or malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or other systems, ensuring quick and efficient resolution.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards, minimizing risks to staff and property.
• Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment status reports.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring that necessary materials are always in stock.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized repairs or services when needed.
• Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance calls to address critical issues swiftly and minimize downtime.
• Facility Upgrades: Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery efficiently.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
