We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Abia

Job Purpose

• The Production Manager will oversee and manage the production operations within the company.
• This includes ensuring efficient production processes, leading the Production team and coordinating with other departments to meet production goals, and maintaining quality control and safety standards.

Key Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production strategies and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
• Lead and supervise Production team, providing coaching and necessary support to ensure optimal performance of the production/packaging lines.
• Develop and implement weekly, monthly and quarterly production schedules in conjunction with the Planning team to satisfy sales demand and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement team to ensure availability of production and packaging materials.
• Collaborate with quality control team to conduct inspections and audits of production processes and materials as well as finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manage material supplies, finished goods, personnel availability, equipment and facility readiness by directly collaborating with related support functions.
• Develop and ensure efficient implementation of annual business plans and OPEX budgets.
• Ensure adherence to ULs quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and industry regulations and standards.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Partner with business leaders in implementation of process improvement and execution.
• Monitor productivity data and develop corrective action plans where necessary to achieve annual productivity improvements.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience & Academic Requirements

• A Degree in Engineering, Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a production or packaging management role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
• Understanding of quality control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the beverage industry.
