TAAS COLLEGE, Ibadan isa Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005.

Job Overview

• We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our academic team.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of geography and the ability to inspire students to appreciate the subject.
• As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing engaging lesson plans, and ensuring student success in geography.
• The candidate must be willing to relocate and reside within the school premises to ensure full participation in all school-related activities and contribute to the development of the students beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective geography lessons to students at the secondary level.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
• Prepare, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate students' progress.
• Encourage and support students in understanding geographical concepts, both theoretical and practical.
• Use technology and modern teaching techniques to facilitate student learning.
• Organize geography-related activities, such as field trips and projects, to enhance practical learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes intellectual growth and student engagement.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate geography lessons with other subjects where possible.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and other school events.
• Uphold and enforce the school’s rules, values, and code of conduct within the classroom and the larger school community.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography or a related field.
• Teaching Certification: Must possess relevant teaching certification or qualifications.
• Experience: 1 - 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school.
• Location: Must be willing to reside within the school premises. Applicants should be based in or willing to relocate to Ibadan, Lagos, Ogun, or any other Southwest state.
• Technology Skills: Proficient in the use of technology for teaching (e.g., smartboards, e-learning platforms).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Adaptability: Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
• Accommodation: Must be willing to reside within the school premises
