Locations: Apo Resettlement, Gwarinpa, Lugbe, Jikwoyi, Kubwa, & Jabi,  Abuja (FCT)

Job Details

• ARETE Language School Abuja is an astute language School to understand (Speak, Write, Read & Listen) German,Spanish & French languages only.
• We seek passionate and qualified German, Spanish and French Language Teachers to join our Arete Language School Abuja team.
• The ideal candidates will teach German,Spanish and French language courses to a diverse group of students, from beginners to advanced learners, focusing on developing conversational skills, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural knowledge.
• This role involves preparing engaging lessons, assessing students' progress, and tailoring learning plans to meet individual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach German,Spanish and French language courses at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels to groups and individual students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to students' varying proficiency levels and learning goals.
• Use interactive and immersive teaching methods to facilitate language acquisition.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback on assignments, exams, and class participation.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and examinations that adhere to school guidelines and standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment encouraging student participation.
• Introduce students to German,Spanish and French culture, traditions, and customs as part of the curriculum.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support overall school objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, as the school requires.

Skills and Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native proficiency in German,Spanish and French (B1-C2level on the CEFR scale).
• Teaching Skills: Strong pedagogical skills, with the ability to teach language concepts effectively to a diverse range of students.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with students, show empathy, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Cultural Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of German,Spanish and French culture, history, and traditions to enrich the learning experience.
• Communication Skills: Proficiency in English for communication with students of varying linguistic backgrounds.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, such as virtual learning platforms, online assignments, and digital presentations.

Requirements
Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in German,Spanish and French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in German,Spanish and French or Education.
• Certification Result fromGerman,Spanish and French Institute as a foreign language (e.g., Goethe-Institut’s “Deutschor equivalent).

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching German,Spanish and French as a foreign language at an educational institution, language school, or similar setting.
• Experience working with students of various age groups and backgrounds.
• Familiarity with both in-person and virtual teaching methods is a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Availability: Flexible schedule, with availability for weekend or evening classes if required.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a background check may be required before employment.

Benefits

• Salary: N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
• Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
• Data and Transport allowance may apply
• Performance-based bonuses may be available.
