Job Title: Security Supervisor

Job Summary

• The Security Supervisor will support the Chief Security Officer (CSO) in overseeing daily security operations at Mshel Homes’ construction sites and the office.
• This role involves regular inspections, identifying and addressing security risks, and ensuring that all site security protocols are followed.
• The Security Supervisor will conduct daily rounds, document incidents, and provide reports to the CSO, ensuring the safety of personnel, equipment, and materials on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounds at assigned sites to ensure security protocols are followed and assess for potential security risks.
• Document and report daily happenings and security incidents to the CSO, providing clear and detailed information on any security breaches, hazards, or irregularities.
• Oversee on-site security personnel, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and adhere to established security guidelines.
• Identify and report vulnerabilities or security risks on-site; work with the CSO to develop solutions to mitigate these risks.
•  Ensure proper control of site access, including checking the identities of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering and exiting the site.
• Assist in responding to security incidents or emergencies on-site, following established protocols to protect people and property.
• Regularly check and report the status of security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and lighting, ensuring they are functional and reporting issues to the CSO.
• Ensure compliance with Mshel Homes’ security policies, identifying areas for improvement and recommending adjustments to the CSO.
• Maintain daily logs of activities, incidents, and observations to provide detailed, accurate records for the CSO.
• Coordinate with on-site teams and contractors to maintain a secure environment and support safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HND / B.Sc; additional security training or certifications are a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in a security supervisory role, preferably in construction or real estate environments.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, for incident reporting.
• Knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for report documentation.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform routine patrols and respond quickly to incidents.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in security within construction or real estate sectors.
• Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and alarm systems.
• Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision.
