NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

Description

• We are looking for people who are passionate about helping refugees and people forced to flee.
• If you are one of those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Logistics Intern to join our team in Jos, Plateau State.
• The purpose of the Logistics Intern position is to support the logistics functions and responsibilities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of goods and services.

Specific Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines
• Implement delegated tasks according to the plan of action
• Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
• Ensure proper filing of documents
• Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function
• Assist Logistics team in managing & supervising of Jos warehouse/stock.
• Ensure that all assets/equipment purchased are entered in the asset/ inventory database and fill handover (Check In & Check Out) forms before allocating or dispatching to the requester.
• Assist Logistics team to local procurement e.g. distributions of RFQ & Bid Analysis.
• Assist Logistics team in preparation of Vehicle Movement plan for Pick & Drop for rental Vehicle on a monthly basis.   
• Ensure proper filing and scanning of Logistical documents.
• Performs other duties when required and given by the line manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from Business Administration, Engineering, diploma or certification from other relevant field is required 
• No work experience is required
• Good computer skills - Ms Office & database.
• Good communication skills.
• Relevant training can be an advantage
