Job Description

• The Deal Matchmaking Manager is a middle-level management position and the jobholder is responsible for facilitating connections between investors and businesses on the Deal Source Africa platform seeking funding in the Foundation.
• The Ideal Candidate: The role requires a highly motivated, innovative and organized individual with strong networking, market analysis, and relationship-building skills to effectively connect investors with entrepreneurs and align opportunities with impact investment goals.

Scope of Services

• Identify and source investment opportunities on Deal Source Africa platform, ensuring alignment with the foundation's impact investment goals.
• Source for businesses and investors.
• Facilitate investor-entrepreneur connections by organizing meetings, deal rooms, roadshows, deal summits, presentations, and networking events, while providing matchmaking support through brokered relationships.
• Provide advisory support to companies entering the advisory facility, including guidance on investment proposals, investor expectations, and strengthening business models for funding.
• Support matches between companies and investors, companies and transaction advisories.
• Conduct market analysis and gather feedback from investors and businesses to understand trends, refine matchmaking processes, and enhance connection quality.
• Create linkages for impact enterprises.
• Monitor and evaluate deal outcomes to assess matchmaking effectiveness, measure investment impact, and identify improvements for future matchmaking efforts.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Minimum of Master's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related fields.
• Experience: 7+ years’ experience working in reputable investment, banking, non-bank or media (business/investment desk) organisations with at least 3 years spent at leadership level in these sectors.
