About The Role

• The Head, Technology is responsible for overseeing the technological infrastructure and driving digital innovation within Sankore.
• You will play a crucial role in aligning technology strategies with the business objectives of the firm, optimizing operational efficiency, and enabling growth through the effective use of technology solutions.
• This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the firm's overall business goals and objectives.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and software systems.
• Regularly assess infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary upgrades or enhancements.
• Lead the development, customization, and integration of software applications and solutions to support various business functions, such as investment analysis, portfolio management, risk assessment, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of solutions
• Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to leverage their expertise and services as needed
• Oversee the implementation of data management strategies, including data acquisition, storage, cleansing, and analytics
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential technology-related risks and vulnerabilities
• Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures and protocols to safeguard sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between technology teams and other business units within the firm

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of proven experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within the financial services industry or investment firms
• Expertise in technology infrastructure management, software development, data management, and analytics
• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
