Job Description

• We are looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting various accounting functions to maintain the financial health of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
• Conduct regular financial audits and reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Maintain and update accounting records and files, keeping all documentation is organized and accessible.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and statements for management review.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting or a related field is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Office Suites.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Candidates preferably residing in Ikeja and its environs are encouraged to apply.

Salary
N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
