Job Title: Programmes Producer

Location: Ogba, Lagos

Responsibilities

• Responsible for both guest segments and field producing.
• Effectively coordinate with all the people in a production to keep it running smoothly.
• Create a realistic production schedule and ensure that the production is running on time and on budget
• You will be the creative guardian of the shows and productions assigned to you
• You will be responsible for bringing together all the elements of a show and coordinate all aspects of production.
• Pitching compelling and creative segment ideas daily.
• The producer needs strong editorial judgment with the ability to select key videos and soundbites to ensure a highly produced segment.
• They must have the ability to write package scripts on tight deadlines.
• This producer will craft hard-hitting segment questions based on thorough research.
• This position requires someone with significant field experience who can crash field edits or set up live shots.
• Working directly with development teams on the day-to-day development and production of NC TV productsThis will incorporate all three phases of project development.
• Reviewing all milestones for brand integrity and gameplay and routing to third parties as necessary.
• Ensuring relevant feedback is communicated to Developer and implemented in subsequent deliverables.
• Overseeing the Q/A and localization process with internal and external vendors, with the assistance of an Associate Producer(s).
• Communicating updates to all necessary team membersThis includes but is not limited to weekly production updates, demos, visual presentations, PowerPoint presentations, meeting/conference calls, and site visits to the Developer.

Person Specification

• 7+ years of producing with both field and control room experience
• Must be a creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, new angles to approach stories, and the organizational skills to bring it all together.
• Outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic are critical for the position.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.
