Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, handling inquiries, providing administrative support, and ensuring a positive experience for clients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Greeting Visitors:

  • Welcome and direct visitors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and are promptly attended to.

Answering Phones:

  • Manage incoming calls, answer inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments. Take and deliver messages when necessary.

Scheduling Appointments:

  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings for staff and executives.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative support, including managing office supplies, preparing documents, filing, and data entry.

Handling Mail and Packages:

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail as needed.

Managing Office Traffic:

  • Ensure that the reception area is tidy, organized, and professional at all times.

Customer Service:

  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a timely, courteous, and effective manner.

General Office Duties:

  • Assist with basic office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing as needed.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Communicate effectively with other team members, ensuring that requests are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications
Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a receptionist, front desk staff, or in customer service preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use office equipment such as a computer, phone, and copier.

Work Environment:

  • Professional office setting with a dynamic and collaborative team.

Salary
N50,000 - N70,000 / month.
