We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Buyer, CPO - Agro Risk Management & Sourcing

Location: Nigeria

The Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for sourcing and procurement of local and international Crude Palm Oil, Crude Palm Kernel Oil, and Crude Soybean Oil, for FMN Agro businesses, in line with budget forecast, and operational goals. 

The Job

• Source and procure 50,000 MT of CPO, CPKO, and CSO annually, ensuring alignment with the company's S&OP plan. 
• Develop and execute a comprehensive monthly sourcing strategy, considering both local and international suppliers, including land and vessel imports. 
• Conduct monthly supply and demand (S&D) analysis, tracking trends in domestic and international markets. 
• Identify international and local opportunities of sourcing Crude Palm Oil, Crude Palm Kernel Oil, and Crude Soybean Oil, and put together the business plan for execution. 
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts t secure favorable terms on price, quality, and delivery. 
• Monitor global market conditions to anticipate price fluctuations, optimize procurement decisions, and ensure timely availability of crude oils. 

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Commerce or Marketing. 
• MBA/M.Sc./Ph.D. and Foreign Language - French will be added advantage. 

The candidates must:

• Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Have excellent time management and prioritization skills. 
• Have strategic thinking and planning abilities. 
• Familiarity with market analysis and program design. 

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years cognate experience.
