Position Overview

• We are looking for a skilled Deck Crew – Handyman to join our offshore team. This role is part of the Production Operations Fitters family and is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in general maintenance and support tasks aboard offshore facilities, such as FPSOs or rigs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, cleaning, and other duties to maintain the operational readiness of the deck.
• Assist in the handling, securing, and organization of materials, tools, and equipment on the deck.
• Support riggers and crane operators with deck preparation and safe handling of loads.
• Carry out routine inspections and report any unsafe conditions or damaged equipment.
• Assist in minor mechanical tasks under the supervision of senior technicians.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization on the deck, ensuring safe working conditions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure safe deck operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. A technical certificate is an advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of offshore or industrial experience in general maintenance or handyman roles.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Skills:

• Basic mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and basic equipment.
• Good physical fitness to perform hands-on tasks in offshore environments.
• Strong attention to safety and the ability to work in a team environment.

Certifications:

• Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET).
• Additional training in basic rigging, working at heights, or confined spaces is an advantage.
