Position Overview

• We are recruiting an experienced and dynamic Head of IT & Information Systems to lead the technology strategy and operations for a foremost ICT company in Nigeria.
• This role will oversee the development, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals.
• The ideal candidate will drive innovation, ensure robust IT governance, and lead a team in delivering secure and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency and business growth.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions.

IT Operations and Infrastructure:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and applications.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all IT infrastructure.
• Establish and enforce IT operational policies and best practices.

Information Systems Management:

• Lead the development and integration of enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and other business applications.
• Manage data storage, backup, and recovery systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Ensure seamless connectivity between information systems for streamlined workflows.

Cybersecurity and Risk Management:

• Develop and enforce a robust IT security framework to protect organizational assets from cyber threats.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Build and manage a high-performing IT team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Foster collaboration between IT and other departments to deliver effective solutions.
• Communicate technology strategies and updates to key stakeholders.

Budget and Vendor Management:

• Prepare and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Requirements
Technical Skills:

• Proven experience with IT infrastructure management, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
