Job Title: Business Development Officer (BDO)

Job Summary

  • A Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for identifying and creating opportunities for business growth, building relationships with clients and partners, and driving revenue through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, competition, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set growth objectives and align them with the company’s goals.

Client and Partner Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and contracts tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and stakeholders.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets by acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts.
  • Analyse sales performance and provide actionable insights to optimize results.

Networking and Branding:

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the company’s brand and services.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development (2 - 5 years preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a sales and telemarketing.
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitor analysis.

Work Environment

  • Office-based with occasional travel to meet clients, attend events, or visit other company locations.
  • Fast-paced, target-driven environment.
