TAAS College, Ibadan is a Co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, Amunigun Village, Bode Igbo, Ibadan. The Nursery and primary school was upgraded to the secondary school by the governing council as a result of a remarkable acceptance by the Muslim Community and within a short period of existence. The college which is enriched with stately built school premises in a serene and conducive environment with modern facilities commenced operations in 2005

Job Title: Civic Education / National Value Teacher

Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Civic Education/National Values Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the Civic Education curriculum, and a commitment to nurturing students into responsible and informed citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and impactful lessons on Civic Education and National Values in line with the Nigerian curriculum.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and discussions on civic responsibility, ethics, and national development.
• Evaluate and assess students' performance through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities and projects that promote citizenship and community engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and improve overall academic performance.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and achievements.
• Uphold the school’s policies, values, and standards in all professional interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Studies, Civic Education, or related disciplines.
• A teaching qualification (NCE, PGDE, or equivalent) is required.
• 3-5 years of proven experience teaching Civic Education or National Values at the secondary school level.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching.
• Must reside in Ibadan or within the South-West states.
