Sales Force Consulting - Our client is a major manufacturer of laundry soap in Nigeria. For over three decades, they have launched diverse variants of laundry soap to the market from their production factory located in Bridgehead Industrial Estate, Onitsha. They have recently diversified into cosmetics, relaxers, detergents, and liquid soaps.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Chemist

Location: Onitsha, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: MD/CEO

Job Summary

• Our client requires the services of an experienced production chemist who is grounded in body lotion and creams, relaxers, etc production.
• The Production Chemist will contribute to and collaborate with the MD to deliver high-quality cosmetics products in the marketplace.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Take charge of the production department to achieve the company's operative goals.
• Develop new cosmetics products and adjust the formulas for the existing products according to the demands of the market.
• Draw up a production schedule according to the sales demand & inventory level.
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Set up the standards of operation, production process programs & quality standards and ensure the implementation.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel and identify training needs.
• Monitor productivity rates and ensure the production will be cost-effective.
• Collate and analyze data, putting together production reports for management use.
• Determine the number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
• Enforce health and safety precautions

Qualification

• B.Sc / HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or any degree in a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years cognate experience garnered from a cosmetics production company.

• Must demonstrate proven experience in leading and managing others
• Detail-oriented with a clear commitment to quality improvement.
• Must be able to multi-task; capable of handling several issues at the same time to deliver results and meet desired deadlines.

General Benefits

• Salary: N200,000 - N400,000 monthly.
