Job Title: Waiter

Location: Lagos

Description 

• Guest Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, and guide them to their assigned seats (if not already done by the hostess).
• Menu Knowledge: Provide guests with menu information, including ingredients, specials, and potential allergens. Make recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
• Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring that all special requests or dietary needs are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Order Delivery: Serve food and drinks to tables promptly, ensuring the correct orders are delivered. Check with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals and drinks.
• Communication with Kitchen: Communicate guest orders and any special instructions to the kitchen staff. Relay any modifications or special requests clearly.
• Check on Guests: Regularly check in with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their food and service. Offer refills on drinks and make sure additional needs are met.
• Suggestive Selling: Upsell menu items such as drinks, desserts, and specials to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Handle Payments: Present checks to guests, take payments, and process credit card transactions or cash payments. Return change or receipts as necessary.
• Table Maintenance: Keep dining areas clean and organized, including clearing empty plates, utensils, and glasses. Reset tables for the next guests.
• Customer Service: Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, working with management when necessary to resolve issues.
• Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure the cleanliness of dining areas and safe food handling practices.
• Support Other Staff: Assist bartenders with drink orders, help bus tables when necessary, and support the kitchen team as needed.
