Job Title: Geography Teacher

Job Summary

• We are hiring a skilled Geography Teacher with a passion for helping students understand global and environmental systems.

Responsibilities

• Teach both physical and human geography concepts to secondary school students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and standards.
• Use multimedia tools, maps, and models to enhance student learning.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
• Organize field trips and practical exercises to complement classroom learning.
• Foster critical thinking and spatial reasoning skills in students.
• Provide individualized support for students who require additional assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Participate in staff development programs, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Geography at the secondary school level.
• Certification: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) is preferable.
• Proficiency in the use of teaching aids, technology, and GIS tools.
• Strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for geography and a dedication to student success.
• Ability to make complex geographical concepts engaging and relatable.
