Job Summary

• They are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join their team.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proven track record of inspiring students to excel in English Language and Literature, and a commitment to academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including WAEC, NECO, and other standardized tests.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Evaluate student performance through regular assignments, tests, and projects.
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature in students.
• Provide individual support to students who need extra assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Teaching Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience in English Language and Literature.
• Certification: Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) certification is preferable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methods, including the integration of technology into lessons.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Passion for teaching and a dedication to student success.
