The Yusuf Bala Usman College of Legal and General Studies, established in 2004 is a state government higher education institution located in Daura, Katsina State, Nigeria.

The college hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Registrar

The Registrar

• The Registrar being the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College.
• The Registrar shall, in addition to the other duties conferred on him under the Act, be a Secretary to Council, Management Committee, Academic Board and any Committee of the Council; and
• The Registrar shall, hold office for a single term of five (5) years only, beginning from the effective date of his appointment and on such term and conditions as may be specific in his letter of appointment.

Qualifications and Experience
The candidate for the post of the Registrar must possess the following qualification and qualities.

• Holds a first degree with the minimum of Second Class Lower Division or Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in Social Science Education, Arts, Humanities and related courses from a recognized institution of Higher learning;
• Have a minimum of eighteen (18) years post qualification cognate experience for the first degree and HND holders or Master's Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience or Doctorate degree (PhD) in relevant discipline with a minimum of Twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience, at least Ten (10) years of which must have been gained from College of Education.
• Registered member with relevant professional bodies recognized by the Federal Government.
• Be currently on the rank of Deputy Registrar for the period not less than five (5) years in a college of Education.
• Be a computer literate;
• Be not more than Fifty-nine (59) years of Age at the time of application;
• A person who is not likely to racial, gender, political, religious or other sectional interests;
• Morally sound, of impeccable character, proven integrity and free from financial embarrassment; and
• Physically and mentally fit.

Terms and Conditions of Service

• The appointment is for a single term tenure of five (5) years in line with the provisions of the College Law.
• The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy any other benefit attached to the position of a Principal Officer of the College of Education.
