About the Job

• We are looking for a dedicated, well experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team at sujimoto.
• He/She will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audit processes as needed.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in hospitality or related industry.
• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
