Job Description

• Our client is currently looking for a Managing Director to help drive the growth of their newly launched digital bank offering. The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company in the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission, and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
• Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairman so that they will have an accurate view of the market and the company’s future.
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
• Clearly communicating the bank’s core values, beliefs, and mission to all team members.
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
• Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
• Oversee all operations and business activities in line with overall strategy and mission.
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of senior management providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Key Requirements

• BSc in any relevant field from a reputable university. MSc/MBA will be preferred.
• MCP or other relevant qualifications and professional registration will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 25 years of extensive experience in a well-structured Bank/Financial Institution, 10 years of which must have been in a Senior Management capacity.
• Ideally have previous experience in a fintech organisation or worked in the digital team of a commercial bank.
• Knowledge of all spheres of Banking. Finance. Marketing and Management.
• In-depth knowledge of Bank products and ability to manage Product roadmap.
• In-depth knowledge of Digital Financial Services and Fintech is essential
• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
• Experience in fundraising from HNIs and/or institutional investors.
• An all-round experience in Operations Management, Corporate & Strategic Planning, and Marketing Economics. Contracting Corporate Affairs.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance.
