Sales Force Consulting - Our client is a leading Unit Licensed Microfinance Bank located in Onitsha with over 30 years of operations.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Ekwulobia Axis, Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Develop annual audit programs and plans to ensure adequate controls and quality audit of the entire operational chain and processes.
• Develop and revise procedures, policies to plug loopholes, identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues in all branches.
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continually and responsible for enforcing policies in all aspects
• Prepare and present audit reports for the management and board as appropriate which reflect results and findings regularly
• Act as an objective source of independent advice on bank operations
• Conduct follow-up audits to monitor implementation of recommendations.
• Ensure continuous knowledge development regarding company’s rules, regulations, process and procedures and best practices.
• Review the work of departments to identify compliance issues and risks then provide advice on remedial actions
• Execute monthly audit of all financial transactions in the company, reporting exceptions and remedial actions

Qualifications

• First Degree / HND in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Statistics, Economics. Professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Candidate must have undergone the Microfinance Certification Program and obtained a Certificate in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Competency and Skill Requirements:

• A minimum of 7 years of work experience in internal control and audit.
• A proven record of success in management level in the microfinance banking industry.
• A wide knowledge of the microfinance banking industry.
• Candidate must be computer literate with ability to use diverse MFB operations software
• Must be passionate about the useof digital platforms for banking operations.
• Analytical and presentational skills.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements.
• A very high level of commercial awareness.
