Job Title: Truck Driver

Position Overview

• We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our Event and Logistics team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting event materials, equipment, and goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
• The role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Safe Transportation:

• Drive company trucks to deliver event materials and logistics items to specified locations.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly to avoid damage during transit.

Loading and Unloading:

• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment and materials.
• Verify delivery items against packing lists to ensure accuracy.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs promptly.

Timely Deliveries:

• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled timelines.
• Communicate with the logistics team regarding delivery updates or delays.

Compliance:

• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and delivery logs.

Customer Interaction:

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients or event staff.
• Address any on-site delivery concerns promptly and escalate when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification
• 1 - 3 years proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in events or logistics.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to operate various truck types and equipment (e.g., flatbed, box truck).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with event setup processes.
• Experience driving in urban and rural areas.

Work Conditions:

• Flexible to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
• Travel may involve long-distance routes depending on event locations.

Remuneration

• Salary: N70,000 - N80,000 Monthly.
• Competitive salary and benefits based on experience.
