We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Machine Operator, Blow Mould

Location: Lagos

Core Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the shrink wrap machine to package products according to specifications.
• Verify product specifications, such as dimensions, weight, and quantity, before initiating the packaging process.
• Load products onto the conveyor belt or assembly line, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Adjust machine settings, such as heat and speed, as necessary to achieve the desired shrink wrap results.
• Monitor the machine during operation to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect packaged products for defects or errors, such as incomplete sealing or misalignment, and take corrective actions if necessary.
• Maintain inventory of shrink wrap materials, such as film rolls and sealing tape, and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the shrink wrap machine, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts, to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during the operation of the shrink wrap machine.
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating a shrink wrap machine or similar packaging equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation.

Required Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot the shrink wrap machine.
• Knowledge of different types of shrink wrap materials and their specific applications.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with the shrink wrap machine.
• Basic math skills to measure and calculate product dimensions and quantities accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and relay information effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
