Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Description

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our management tean as an In-House Legal Counsel. The occupant of thisrole will to provide legal guidance across various aspects of the business, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management.
• The ideal candidate musthavestrong problem-solving skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Carry out legal research on different tasks under Nigerian laws;
• Reviewing ofdocumentation partianing to our business (Mining);
• Providing summary of regulations and laws that affect the mining sector for executive consumption;
• Drafting of variety of legal documents;
• Providing advice on corporate legal issues and business matters;
• Reviewing and advising Management onlegal implications for Internal Policies and procedures;
• Reviewing and drafting Contracts, Agreements, & Internal Policies to ensure they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements;
• Developing and leading corporate lagel strategiesto promote and protect the Company's interests;
• Resolving all potential or existing cases, suits, disputes, litigations and (or) arbitration;
• Handling Company secretarial work and carry out other responsibilities as may be required by the Company.

Requirements

• The candidate must be a top tier law school graduate;
• Hold a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) with solid foundation and passion for law and it's application;
• 5-7 years working experience as a lawyer (working experience in the Nigeria Mining sector is a plus);
• Experienced in Commercial, Corporate Law and Dispute Resolution;
• The idle candidate must be a team player, humble, diligent, ethical, articulate, analytic, self-motivated, problem-solver and able to work in an International Company.

What we Offer

• Salary: N350,000 - N500,000 / Month
