We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: GIS and Immersive Technology Analyst

Location: Ogba / Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

What You’ll Do

• Develop GIS Data and Models: Create and analyze geospatial data for geosites to produce high-quality maps and detailed 3D models.
• Lead Virtual Tour Design: Use immersive technologies like VR and AR to create interactive virtual tours for educational and tourism purposes.
• Conduct Drone Simulations: Plan and execute drone surveys, analyze the collected data, and integrate results into GIS platforms.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the CTO and researchers to improve and expand the project’s digital tools and platforms.
• Provide Technical Support: Assist in setting up and managing GIS and immersive technology tools during workshops, conferences, and events.
• Leverage Cloud-Based Platforms: Use tools like Google Earth Engine (GEE) to analyze and share geospatial data seamlessly.

What We Need

• GIS Expertise: Advanced skills in QGIS, ArcGIS, and Python scripting to develop and analyze geospatial data for geosites.
• Immersive Technology Skills: Experience designing and implementing VR, AR, and other immersive tools for tourism and education.
• Drone Simulation Proficiency: Ability to conduct and integrate drone-based simulations into GIS models.
• Collaboration and Innovation: Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams to enhance and deploy digital tools.
• Technical Support: Strong ability to provide hands-on support during events, workshops, and projects using GIS and immersive technologies.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Proficiency in QGIS, ArcGIS, and Python scripting for automation and analysis
• Experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE) for geospatial analysis
• Knowledge of VR, AR, and MR tools for immersive content creation
• Strong background in geospatial data visualization and storytelling
• Familiarity with drone survey tools and technologies
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for technical systems

Salary
N70,000 / Month.
