Job Title: Cashier

Location: Ring Road - Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

• The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer payments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cash register and till area in a clean and organized manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
Process Customer Payments:

• Accurately process customer payments, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and other forms of payment.
• Ensure that all transactions are entered correctly into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Issue receipts and provide change to customers.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Resolve any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.

Customer Service:

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer customer questions about the menu, prices, and restaurant policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist customers with ordering food and beverages, as needed.

Cash Handling and Security:

• Follow all cash handling procedures to ensure the security of cash and other valuables.
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register and till area.
• Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the manager.

Other Duties:

• Assist with other restaurant duties as needed, such as bussing tables, refilling beverage stations, and assisting other staff members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Positive and friendly demeanor.

Salary
N50,000 - N60,000 monthly.
