Job Title: Barman

Location: Ikotun, Lagos

Job Summary

• The Hotel Barman is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar, and ensuring a pleasant and engaging experience for guests.
• This role involves a combination of technical bartending skills and excellent customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation and Service:

• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Provide recommendations to guests on drink selections based on preferences.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of drinks served.

Customer Service:

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming environment at the bar.
• Engage with guests to enhance their experience, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs to deliver excellent service.

Bar Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including counters, glassware, and equipment.
• Ensure proper stock levels of beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Follow hygiene and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of perishables.

Inventory and Stock Management:

• Monitor and report inventory levels to prevent shortages.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
• Track sales and record beverage usage accurately.

Compliance and Standards:

• Adhere to all local and hotel policies related to serving alcohol, including checking identification to verify the legal drinking age.
• Follow standard operating procedures for cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

Upselling and Promotions:

• Promote bar specials, signature drinks, or seasonal offerings.
• Encourage guests to explore the menu and recommend pairings with food items.
• Support hotel events or themed evenings by creating custom drinks or assisting with setup.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an HND in relevant fields with 3 years work experience.
