Job Title: Systems Engineer - Hardware

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Reports To: Engineering Manager/Technical Lead

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer - Hardware to design, develop, and implement high-performance hardware systems.
• The role involves end-to-end responsibility for hardware design, integration, testing, and maintenance, ensuring systems meet performance and reliability standards.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in hardware engineering, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Hardware Design and Development:

• Design and develop hardware systems, including circuit boards, components, and assemblies.
• Analyze system requirements and translate them into functional hardware designs.
• Perform simulations and validations to ensure design integrity.

System Integration:

• Collaborate with software and firmware engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Develop and execute integration and compatibility testing procedures.

Testing and Validation:

• Conduct performance and stress testing on hardware systems to ensure reliability.
• Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues to meet quality standards.
• Generate comprehensive test plans, reports, and technical documentation.

Project Management:

• Participate in the planning and execution of hardware development projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of milestones and compliance with budget constraints.

Technical Support:

• Provide post-deployment technical support and troubleshooting for hardware systems.
• Analyze feedback and implement improvements in future designs.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on advancements in hardware technologies and integrate them as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in hardware/system design and development.
• Proven experience with hardware design tools (e.g., CAD, Altium, OrCAD).

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of digital and analog circuit design.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Proficiency in testing equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.
• Understanding of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.

Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
