We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: Mondays - Fridays (9 am - 5 pm)

Job Overview

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial transactions, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support the organization's overall financial health.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Process employee expense reports and vendor payments.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate deductions, taxes, and benefits calculations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Conduct periodic financial reviews to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ICAN are an advantage.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc) and Microsoft Excel.
• Payroll Knowledge.

Salary and Benefits

• N200,000 - N300,000 / month.
• Health Insurance.
