Job Summary

• The Client Service Representative (Collections) is responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to assist clients in resolving their outstanding balances while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to collect overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements in accordance with company policies.
• Provide clients with accurate account information and resolve billing disputes professionally.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions in the system.
• Identify and escalate complex collection issues to management when necessary.
• Follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Educate clients on payment options, account terms, and potential consequences of non-payment.
• Adhere to all relevant compliance and regulatory requirements, including the Fair Debt and company policies.
• Work closely with other departments, including customer service and finance, to resolve account issues.
• Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

• 0-1 year of experience in collections, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in financial services, banking, or call center collections.
• Knowledge of debt collection laws and compliance regulations.
