Rayfield Associates is an international commercial and dispute resolution law firm which advises its clients on a broad spectrum of legal areas including Energy, Banking and Finance, Corporate law, Shipping, Regulatory, Government Affairs and Dispute Resolution. The Firm’s offices are located in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. Our legal know-how, and expertise has been developed over the years from advising businesses, foreign investors, financial institutions, governments and public sector bodies.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Lawyer

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Lawyer with at least 7-10 years of post-call experience to join our dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will have an exceptional advisory skills, and a proven track record of managing complex legal issues.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and other legal documents.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage disputes.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on current laws and regulations affecting the company.
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to minimize risk.
• Mentor and supervise junior legal staff.

Qualifications

• A Law Degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2nd Class Honors, upper division
• A minimum of 7 years of post-call experience, with significant expertise in employment law.
• Experience in both commercial and litigation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Membership in good standing with the relevant bar association.
