Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English tutor to prepare students for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IELTS format, possess excellent communication skills, and be passionate about helping students achieve their target scores.
• This role involves providing individualized instruction, developing customized study plans, and monitoring student progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focused on all four sections of the IELTS exam: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
• Assess students' current English proficiency levels and identify their strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop personalized study plans and lesson materials tailored to individual student needs and goals.
• Teach effective test-taking strategies and techniques for each section of the IELTS exam.
• Provide regular feedback on student performance and offer constructive criticism.
• Monitor student progress and adjust study plans as needed.
• Assign and grade practice tests and homework assignments.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest IELTS exam format and trends.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
• Potentially develop and contribute to learning materials and resources.
• Communicate effectively with students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field preferred.
• 2-3 years proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and preparing students for the IELTS exam.
• Specify the number of years of experience desired.
• A strong understanding of the IELTS exam format, scoring system, and assessment criteria.
• Excellent command of the English language (native or near-native proficiency).
• Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.

Salary
N120,000 monthly.
