Job Title: Veterinary Doctor

About the Role

• We are looking to employ a Veterinary Doctor for the role of Deputy General Manager to strengthen our operation located in Shagamu, Ogun state.
• The Veterinary Doctor will manage commercial Layer farm operations with a capacity of 40,000 – 60,000 birds.

Key Responsibilities

• To Manager the Overall operation of our layer farm 
• To supervise all farms staff including farm Supervisors, farm hands and Animal scientists.
• Documentation of farm activities including daily production record and operation activities.
• Manage and enforce all biosecurity protocols at our farm locations
• Interface with management by attending management and strategy meetings to recommend steps to improve productivity at our farms 
• Prompt diagnosis of diseases using presenting clinical signs, post mortem examination, and collection of sample for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare medication and vaccination schedules & recommend medication plans when necessary. Implement effective biosecurity and environmental management practices.
• Provide leadership and coordination for rearing and layer farms.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
• Proven experience in commercial Layer farms and poultry workmanship.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage Mid - large-scale poultry operations.
• Good communication Skills, passion, and commitment to the role.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational .
• In-depth knowledge of environmental and biosecurity management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• High Integrity
• Basic Computer Literacy.

Remuneration Range
N500,000 - N750,000 / Month + Performance incentive + HMO + Accommodation.
