Job Title: Pump Operator

Location: Sabon Wuse, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• As a Pump Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining fire pumps to ensure effective fire protection and emergency response.
• Your role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fire pumps to ensure proper functioning during emergencies
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fire pumps and related equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or malfunctions
• Maintain accurate records of pump operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Coordinate with the fire safety team to ensure readiness and compliance with safety protocols
• Conduct regular fire drills and training sessions for staff

Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE or a Degree in Fire and Safety, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Basic computer knowledge is required
• Minimum experience of 3 years in job field.
• Proven experience in operating fire pumps or similar machinery is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
