We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Digital Marketing & Content Executive

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Work Mode: Fully Onsite
Probation Period: 3 months
Reports to: Head, Marketing and Business Development Strategy
Works and interacts with: Marketing team, Projects team and Creative team
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm Mon-Fri (With additional hours in during busy periods)
Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to be retained as full-time permanent staff based on performance

Description

  • Are you a creative and highly skilled Digital Marketing and Content expert? What Media Group is looking for a bold and dynamic individual to join our team.

About the Role

  • As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the company’s public interactions across all platforms. This includes developing and executing content strategies for social media, as well as overseeing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Your work will position the company and its brands as industry leaders in media and entertainment, driving engagement and brand recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, including social media management, content creation, and paid advertising campaigns, to enhance the company’s online presence and brand visibility.
  • Create and manage high-quality, original content—both written and visual—for social media, websites, blogs, and other marketing channels to strengthen brand awareness and engagement.
  • Foster meaningful connections with consumers by growing and managing an active online community, including moderating comments, messages, and interactions across all platforms.
  • Engage and collaborate with influencers to amplify brand reach and impact.
  • Lead the creative design process to ensure brand consistency and innovation in all marketing materials.
  • Analyze digital marketing data on a weekly and monthly basis, presenting performance reports to management and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Conduct research to inform content creation and align marketing plans with current industry trends and best practices.
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to continuously refine the content strategy.
  • Create and present detailed reports to measure campaign performance in relation to KPIs and OKRs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

What Sets You Apart

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A proven track record of success with 2+ years of experience as a Marketing Executive or in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of experience within the media and entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional skills in writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • Strong communication and active listening abilities.
  • A proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Effective time management and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, resilient attitude with a determination to overcome challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, with great attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • To excel in this role, you should be a proactive self-starter with a proven track record of generating innovative creative ideas and extensive experience in marketing.
  • You must be skilled in producing technical documents related to content and digital marketing strategies.
  • The ideal candidate will also be data-driven, with hands-on experience in analyzing and utilizing data to inform marketing decisions.
  • You will also have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of marketing, including marketing automation, SEO, analytics, CRM systems, digital advertising platforms, email marketing, content management systems, AI and social media management tools.
  • Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and data analysis is essential for making informed marketing decisions and driving performance.

Salary
