Summary 

• Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join their faculty. The ideal candidate must be passionate about Mathematics and proficient in coaching students for highly competitive local and international examinations, including WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and Mathematics Olympiads.

Job Description

• The Mathematics Teacher will play a critical role in fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, improving problem-solving skills, and preparing students for outstanding performance in both national and international examinations.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Curriculum Delivery:

• Develop and deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centered Mathematics lessons in line with WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and Olympiad curricula.
• Utilize modern teaching methodologies, real-life applications, and technology-driven tools to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
• Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving approaches in Mathematics.
• Design personalized learning plans to cater to both struggling learners and high-achievers.

Examination Preparation & Coaching:

• Implement effective strategies for coaching students for national and international exams, ensuring top-tier results.
• Conduct intensive revision sessions, mock exams, and performance tracking to improve students’ mathematical proficiency.
• Prepare and mentor students for Mathematics Olympiads, international scholarships, and STEM competitions.
• Develop customized study guides, problem-solving workshops, and examination techniques to maximize students' scores.

Student Development & Engagement:

• Inspire students to develop a passion for Mathematics and pursue STEM-related careers.
• Organize Mathematics clubs, competitions, and research projects that enhance students’ engagement with the subject.
• Provide career counseling and university preparatory support, particularly for students aspiring to study Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial Science, and other STEM fields.
• Promote collaborative learning techniques, peer tutoring, and online learning platforms to enhance Mathematics mastery.

Classroom & Learning Environment Management:

• Maintain a structured, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress through assessments, assignments, and feedback sessions.
• Utilize Mathematical software, simulations, and interactive digital tools to support learning.

Collaboration & Professional Development:

• Work collaboratively with other STEM teachers to implement an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to learning.
• Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated with modern Mathematics teaching techniques.
• Engage with parents, school management, and external examination boards to track students' academic progress.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc./B.Ed in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the senior secondary level.
• Proven track record of coaching students for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and Mathematics Olympiads with excellent results.
• Proficiency in using Mathematical software such as MATLAB, GeoGebra, Wolfram Alpha, or similar digital tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and mentorship skills.
