Job Title: Backend Developer (Instructor)

Job Summary

• They are seeking a compassionate and skilled Backend Developer Instructor to teach backend development skills to blind individuals.
• The ideal candidate is not only an expert in backend technologies but also adept at tailoring lessons to accommodate visually impaired learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for backend development, covering languages and frameworks such as Python, Node.js, Java, SQL, and API development.
• Use accessibility tools and screen-reader-compatible resources to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one and group instruction tailored to the unique needs and learning styles of blind individuals.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to help students build confidence in their technical skills.
• Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with accessibility experts to ensure course materials are fully accessible.
• Stay updated on accessibility best practices and assistive technologies for visually impaired learners.

Required Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2-6 years experience.
• Proven experience as developer, with expertise in languages like HTML, CSS, Python, JavaScript, and PHP
• Familiarity with databases, API design, and server-side programming.
• Knowledge of accessibility tools and screen-reader-compatible coding environments (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver).
• Previous teaching or mentoring experience would be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for teaching.

Salary
N150,000 - N180,000 / Month.
