IT Security Officer at the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN)

The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) was conceived by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) in collaboration with global development partners to address the major financing challenges facing Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria. Our objective is to alleviate financing constraints faced by MSMEs and small Corporates in Nigeria through the provision of financing and partial credit guarantees to eligible financial intermediaries on a market-conforming and fully financially sustainable basis.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Security Officer

Location: Abuja

About the job

• Champion the implementation of the information security policy.
• Ensure the integrity of fail-over tests, penetration tests and follow-up on the timely resolution of the observed gaps;
• Enforcement of Remote Access control, including setting security standards for desktops, servers, authentication/passwords, and other applications, including carrying out risk assessment for the remote access.
• Administration of the IT Helpdesk and Investigation of all IT Related incidence reports, including administration of IT survey.
• Enforcement of the document classification policy, clear desk policy, clear screen policy, USB port lock, etc
• Enforcement of the Data Protection Policy and ensuring the integrity of the Bank`s database;
• Implementation of the Information Security aspect of business continuity management.
• Monitor creation of new ledger and closure of Ledgers that are no longer required;
• Maintenance of Logical Access Right, including creation of users on Easy Bank, e-mail and other applications; including maintenance of stock of tokens.
• Monitor security tools to detect security events & incidents; report and escalate any security breaches to the Head, IT and CRO.
• Assesses threats and vulnerabilities regarding information assets and recommend the appropriate information security controls and measures.
• Conduct Gap Analysis for ISO 270001 when there are significant changes to the Bank’s Scope
• Report on false positives or negatives to the Head IT for verification.
• Undertake incident analysis and ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken to correct deficiencies.
• Review and Monitor System Logs and investigate unusual system events
• Identification, management and mitigation of existing and emerging IT risks
• Review and tracking of IT Help Desk
• Review of management of Cloud activities and mitigation of emergent risks
• Review and Investigate all exception reports on firewalls;
• Prepare and update Daily Control Exception Logs.
