Design Creative Associate at Co-creation Hub (CcHUB)

CcHUB is Nigeria’s first open living lab and pre-incubation space being designed to be a multi-functional, multi-purpose space where work to catalyze creative social tech ventures take place. The HUB is a place for technologists, social entrepreneurs, government, tech companies, impact investors and hackers in and around Lagos to co-create new solutions to the many social problems in Nigeria.

Job Description

• We are looking for a talented and driven Creative Designer who embodies CcHUB’s unique design philosophy: minimalistic yet impactful, tech-forward yet culturally resonant.
• This role calls for an individual with strong Graphic Design, motion graphics, animation, and illustration skills, who can create compelling, functional visuals that resonate with our audience.
• As part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, you’ll work closely with the design team and collaborate with other practices(units) within the organization in amplifying our message of tech innovation and social impact across Africa.

Responsibilities

• Graphic Design: produce and design banners, flyers, reports, presentations and periodicals that are modern and in line with the brand guidelines of CcHUB.
• Motion Graphics & Animation: Produce motion graphics and animations that are not only visually engaging but also convey complex ideas simply and effectively, in line with CcHUB’s clean, functional aesthetic.
• Illustration & Design: Design original illustrations that reflect CcHUB’s bold and authentic brand or as each project may require you to.
• Storyboarding & Concepting: Develop clear, impactful storyboards and visual concepts that align with our mission, making complex technology and innovation topics more accessible and easy to understand.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, remaining agile to respond to the diverse, evolving needs of various projects across Africa.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years in graphic design, with a strong focus on motion graphics, animation, and illustration.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in tools of the trade like Adobe After Effects, Illustrator,Photoshop, and ideally some familiarity with 3D software like Blender or Cinema 4D.
• Creative Skills: Portfolio demonstrating strength in the skill areas listed above
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and integrate feedback constructively.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to create visually appealing, high-quality designsand motion graphics with little or no supervision.
