Job Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Verification Officer to verify documents and credentials across Nigeria. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of documents, identifying potential risks and discrepancies, and providing recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify documents and credentials, including identity documents, academic certificates, and employment records, across Nigeria.
• Conduct thorough reviews of documents to identify potential discrepancies, alterations, or forgeries.
• Utilize expertise and knowledge of Nigerian documentation and verification processes to assess the authenticity of documents.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to ensure seamless verification processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external verification agencies, government institutions, and other stakeholders to facilitate verification processes.
• Provide detailed reports and recommendations to management on verification outcomes, including potential risks and discrepancies.
• Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, laws, and industry best practices related to document verification in Nigeria.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in document verification, compliance, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in verifying documents across Nigeria, including knowledge of Nigerian documentation and verification processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of know-your-customer (KYC) regulations.
• Experience working with verification software and technologies.
