Key Responsibilities
Public Relations:

• Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to promote Daystar Power Solution's renewable energy projects and initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Craft compelling press releases, articles, and other content to secure positive media coverage.
• Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews, press conferences, and other PR events.
• Monitor and analyses media coverage and PR campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Business Development, Human Resource, Legal Services, and Project Engineering, to align PR efforts with company goals.
• Lead crisis communication efforts and manage reputation issues effectively.
• Lead and drive engagement and public relation activities on all Daystar Power Group Social media platforms.
• Organise and participate in industry events, conferences, and community outreach programs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in renewable energy.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or any related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in public relations, preferably within the renewable energy or sustainability sector.
• Language Proficiency: English & French (excellent oral & writing skills).

Character:

• Proven track record of successful PR campaigns and media relations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with international media and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the renewable energy industry and its regulatory landscape in Africa.
• Proficiency in using PR tools and software.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with both technical teams and stakeholders.
