Job Title: Cost Accounting Officer

Responsibilities

• To provide leadership and co-ordination for day-to-day Management Accounting, Costing and the Liabilities Side Book-Keeping, including expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management as well as Administrative, Supply Chain Management and Credit Control Activities;
• To establish, strengthen and develop Management Account Function, Management Information System and credit control relationships with a focus on delivering excellence;
• Providing leadership to the company's Management Information System, Management Accounting, Budget and Revenue Reporting activities across the various business units and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice;
• The post holder will be responsible for providing guidance in developing and enhancing management accounting, costing, Budget and Revenue Reports;
• Coordinating inputs from the key stakeholders and customers into Management Accounting Reports;
• Maintaining and structuring accurate and timely management information in a changing business environment;
• Providing appropriate project management support, with particular reference to identification, tracking and managing projects.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

• First Degree in Social science, from a reputable institution
• Should be a chartered accountant (ICAN Certified)
• Must be able to use Microsoft suite effectively
• Ability to work with a project Management ERP solution
• At least 5 years post qualification experience in similar role.
• Technical knowledge and skills in results-based management
• Strong interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with clients
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines.
