Purpose of Position

• The Webmaster is responsible for managing and maintaining the school’s online presence, ensuring optimal website performance and functionality. Their role includes implementing improvements, enhancing user experience, and achieving KPIs that support the organization’s digital success. The goal is to have a skilled Webmaster who can effectively oversee and enhance online platforms to meet strategic objectives.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure the overall health, functionality, and security of company websites.
• Achieve 99.9% website uptime, minimising downtime and disruptions.
• Oversee the creation, updating, and deletion of web content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Implement a content management strategy that results in a 20% increase in user engagement.
• Monitor and optimise website speed, aiming for a load time of 3 seconds or less.
• Implement strategies to achieve a 15% improvement in overall website performance.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for different business functions.
• Set targets for KPIs and track performance against goals.
• Conduct regular UX audits and implement improvements to enhance the overall user experience.
• Achieve a 20% increase in user satisfaction scores through user feedback and usability testing.
• Implement SEO best practices to achieve a 20% increase in organic search traffic.
• Monitor and improve website rankings, aiming for a 15% improvement in search engine positions.
• Implement robust security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
•  Achieve a 100% compliance rating in data protection and privacy regulations.
• Address and resolve technical issues promptly to achieve a 90% reduction in website-related support tickets.
• Implement preventive measures to minimise future technical disruptions.

• Uptime and Reliability: Achieve a 99.9% website uptime and maintain a downtime of less than 1 hour per month.
• User Engagement: Increase user engagement by 20% through content management strategies.
• Website Speed: Achieve a website load time of 3 seconds or less and Implement strategies for a 15% improvement in overall website performance.
• User Satisfaction: Increase user satisfaction scores by 20% through UX improvements.
• Organic Search Traffic: Achieve a 20% increase in organic search traffic and Improve search engine rankings with a target of a 15% improvement.
• Security and Compliance: Maintain a 100% compliance rating with data protection and privacy regulations.
• Technical Support: Reduce website-related support tickets by 90%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant Webmaster Certification.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Webmaster.

Competencies Required:

• Proven experience as a Webmaster or in a similar role
• Proficiency in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and web analytics tools
• Experience with SEO best practices and web security measures
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
